Why does Activity Monitor show four processors on my MacBook Pro (Core 2 duo i5)?

My Activity Monitor displays four processors despite System Info showing only two. Any idea why that is? Nature of the i5 chip??

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.3), (6,2), 2GB RAM, 500GB HD
