Desktop has expanded so I only see about 75% of screen. Mouse only works if you move it to an edge and then the desktop will track to that area.

Turn off Zoom from the Universal Access and Keyboard & Mouse panes of System Preferences.

It usually gets that way by accidently hitting the Control key while scrolling. Hold control and scroll, one direction zooms the other unzooms.
