Can my MacBook Pro run Diablo III?

I have a brand new 13" MacBook Pro with a 2.5 GHZ Intel Core i5 Processor, Intel HD Graphics 4000, 4GB of RAM and 500GB hard drive.

As a very technologically challenged person I was wondering if it would run Diablo III?

Thanks in advance! 🙂

You can but it doesn't really help that much. If however, you decide to get an external cooling fan, get the one that moves the air against your macbook and not towards it. ( blows downward instead of upward ).

Keep in mind that because you have a built in video, your CPU must work twice. One to run and play the game and the other, to provide processing power to you Intel graphics.

Note: your macbook will shut down if it gets too hot to prevent damage. Don't wait for that to happen.

The 15" wouldn't have weighted that much more and lasted longer with OS X upgrades because of the dedicated graphics card.

For instance 10.8 will only run on certain older Mac's, those with good graphics.

If you want to make that 13" last longer, use a external USB keyboard and mouse, avoid the built in keyboard and trackpad as much as possible.

Also keep it covered and don't wear jewelry as it can scratch the case, body chemicals mar the surface.

Don't use the Superdrive as a DVD movie playback machine, use it sparingly.

Backup your data and don't move the computer while it's in operation as the hard drive is fragile.
