Q: i had my phone unlock while i was outside US. when it returned in the US, i immediately replaced the sim card to my old one. it was working fine until i updated the softwar. now my phone is not working and i keep getting a NO SIM card meassge. help!

    ONLY the carrier the phone is locked to can authorize unlocking it. If you did not have it unlocked by AT&T following their procedures, you did not have it "unlocked" you had it "hacked".

     

    It is now most likely a brick.
