My on/off/power down button on iPhone 4S won't work. It is not jammed. Any suggestions?

Use Assistive Touch setting to create virtual Lock Button. Tap Settings App>General>Accessibility, near bottom>Assistive Touch>ON>Tap New White Screen Button>Tap Device>Press and Hold Lock Screen until the "slide to power off" appears. To turn iPhone ON, connect to power source, ie Charger, USB port on computer.

If your iPhone has Warranty or AppleCare Coveage, all iPhone 4S do, make Genius Reservation and take iPhone to Apple for resolution.

You are doing it perfect. "New White Screen is" is the White Button that comes to the screen, which you have found. When you touch the Lock Screen icon, just keep holding down on it for 3-5 seconds and it will bring up the "slider to power off" which you can then press to turn OFF the iPhone.

Now if there's a way to make copies of pics? I used to hit the top button and camera button to copy.

Any suggestions there? I can live without this till the new phone gets here but it would help.

So my power button is not working. My phone will shut off out of the blue whether I'm on the phone or in an app. When that happens the "slide to power off" screen pops up and if I choose to close my phone. it goes to a black screen with the Apple Icon and will not turn on again untill I plug into USB on computer. Very frusterated, have lost several calls
