when publish site button on iWeb 09 is not highlighted, is it in the process of publishing?

After Mobile Me ending, I had to switch to Go Daddy for my hosting site. I just upgraded to iWeb 09 and after clicking the "Publish Site" button, it is no longer highlighted - does that mean the site is publishing? Thank you in advance!

Hi there,

When you click "Publish Site", you will see the progress in the top left corner next to your site name. Once it as finished publishing, all pages will appear blue.

Thank you. I had been using iWeb 08 for four years, and LOVED it. When Mobile Me ended, I had to switch and chose Go Daddy - which sadly seems to have been a mistake. Their customer service is not very nice; especially to someone who is not too tech savvy, like me. When I upgraded to 09 today, I was not sure if I had done something wrong, so since everything is still red, it must be still publishing. Thank you for your reply.

No problem. It's worth doing a connection test by clicking on the Globe symbol next to your site name in the top left corner & then clicking on "Connection Test" under "FTP Server Settings". This will confirm your settings have been entered correctly etc.

I love iWeb also. I upgraded from the iLife 06 version (1.1.2) a while ago & I think it is great. That's a shame you have had trouble with GoDaddy.

Oh! Ok, thank you. I have a red circle next to my name that looks like a globe. It does not "publish" the same way 08 did, in that I cannot tell where the progress is. But it might just be the switching over to Go Daddy's hosting site and it might take a long time. Thank you again! The Test Connection says I'm ready to publish, and if I try to "quit" iWeb, it says quitting will stop publishing, so it must be uploading. : ) Thank you again.
