My Apple Tv is not connecting to WiFi.

I cannot get my Apple TV to connect to WiFi. I have tried rebooting, reconfiguring etc and nothing works. My computer and Ipad are connecting, just not Apple TV

Go to settings, general, network, configure wifi, the wifi setup should start automatically. It'll search for wifi networks available and you can select the one you want to connect to and input the passcode and it should work fine.

Make sure your apple tv isn't in a place that could be blocking/limiting wifi reception. Large speakers and other electromagnetic interference can affect reception.

I don't think it's a problem unique to yourself. I've read of a few different people who have had the same issue in the past month.

I've posted the same reply before but for sake of ease, I'll repeat that in case someone who knows an answer is reading;

I've had the exact same problem! I had an Apple TV 2 which worked fine, Got an ATV3 which initially worked but then this same thing happened. Brought it into the store and they swapped it for a new one, which again worked to begin with but now won't pick up wifi.

I have a windows laptop, a macbook, an iPhone 4s and an iPad which all connect perfectly and without issue to my 120mb broadband.

Has anybody found a solution? Is it something in the most recent OS update??

Having exactly the same problem. All was working fine last week, came to use it today, 1 bar 'signal strength' and no Wireless networks found, even though there are a dozen or so around the office (actually it seems the Apple TV doesnt even try to search for networks in range, just shows me an 'Other...' button). Entering the SSID manualy simply displays 'Network not found'.

iPads, iPhones, MacBooks, Windows, Android, etc can all see the networks and connect just fine. I was thinking it was a hardware fault, but now I see there are many people who have the same issue, so Im guessing its an OS issue.

Thankfully Ethernet saved the day today, but really need to get WiFi back up and running!!

I have the same problem, just as you described.

Did a full Restore by USB on my iMac, but the atv 3 still can't find any of the networks.

I was two months old and working fine until July 26th. Just stopped right in the middle of playing a movie bough from iTunes hat was streaming from my iMac.

Total pain. Service call logged for Monday morning with apple support.

And here's another one with the same problem hoping to get new ideas. The description Needleski gave fits exactly to my situation too.

I started ATV3 today and it doesn't find Wifi even though iPhone next to it finds it. Tried also setting up a local wifi from MB Air and put that next to ATV3, again iPhone found that but ATV3 didn't. Also tested both wifis without security and also changed the password in my official wifi as somebody had found helpful. Still nothing. :-/

ATV3 with ethernet wire worked immediately, but that's not an option next to our TV.

Some resetting and rebooting with ATV3 and DSL/Wifi router are also done, so all new ideas are very welcome!
