Q: My Apple Tv is not connecting to WiFi.

I cannot get my Apple TV to connect to WiFi.  I have tried rebooting, reconfiguring etc and nothing works.  My computer and Ipad are connecting, just not Apple TV

There are many threads in Apple support sites about this problem

I  purchased an Apple TV3, exchanged it, and returned it for a refund because both kept losing wifi connection even after trying every tip and workaround I read in these Apple support forums. The Apple Company's failute to admit there is a problem is disappointing.

    Dear Apple

Your customers have bought or been buying your products because amongst others:

    1. The British judge said they were cool

    2. Ease of use (plug and play it used to be), now it's becoming like Microsoft (plug and pray)

Just bought the latest Apple TV, wasted over 3 hours and still didn't get it to work

Error 3902, tried everything nothing helped

Once I did manage to connect but couldn't connect to the iTunes store (not available try later) or maybe it was a problem with the network from the outset.

Currently in a 3 floor apartment building with the main router on the ground floor and each floor with routers in the hall. Are we supposed to carry the TV and the Apple TV outside to connect by ethernet to one of the outside routers? If so which one ?

    Come on guys get serious

What I find strange is that there is an Apple community on your site and this problem has been encountered by YOUR CUSTOMERS since 2010 and you don't even post some solutions !!!!

If you have over 66 billion USD cash in your banks which is thanks to us YOUR customers, and since you found ways to avoid paying taxes through your Dutch and Irish schemes (which I'm not criticising mind you since you can afford the best consultants), the least you could do is hire some real professionnals to solve these longstanding problems.

If you want to start losing your oldest customers (who have been promoting your products by word of mouth) after years of loyalty then go ahead, but don't forget what goes up can come down pretty fast. In todays world loyalty is a rare commodity, don't lose it. Money can't buy everything. Even the idol Steve Jobs couldn't.

Mine seemed to coincide with the Mountain Lion update. But now no longer works with wi-fi and was experiencing home sharing issues before that.

Same problem..did a full restore on both an ATV2 and ATV3..ATV2 connects fine, ATV3 won't see any wireless connection..really frustrating having to deal with this and knowing that getting a new ATV3 will not resolve the issue...

Took the Tv3 to a friend who had an Airport extrem setup and it worked without a hitch. Seems problem is with the Cisco router in the building although its new and installed in January. Tomorrow installer coming over to check, will keep you informed.

    What a hassle Apple

The problem of ATV3 losing wifi connection predated ATV2, ATV1, predated  OS updates, etc etc, and it happens with different brands of router includung Apple routers. Apple's silence is deafening; it seems to hope we will blame everything other than Apple.

And an update of my case: I took the ATV3 on Tuesday to company who sold it to me, they send it to be serviced and yesterday I was informed that a replacement device can be fetched.

This one found the wifi networks immediately and everything works like a charm.

I'm not sure about those who lost the connection after some time of usage, but at least this one was broken already when I got it.
