I am getting the following error when I try and download iTunes:
The digital signature for this package is incorrect.
The package may have been tampered with or corrupted since being signed by “Apple”.
I don't believe I have done anything that I am aware of to cause this.
How do I fix this?

Are you trying to download a newer iTunes version..? If so from what site..?
Or are you trying to download something from the iTunes Store into your iTunes version..?
What OS X version are you running..? Leopard 10.5 like your profile indicates or something later..?
My iMac is doing a check for new software and iTunes is coming up. When I click install it begins to install and then the error above happens and it will no longer run. I am on MAC OS X 10.5.8.
It is possible that your iTunes update is not 10.5 compatibile.
Yes it is. Someone told me to download it from a .dmg at the apple site and that seemed to work. May be something with the software download tool on my Mac. I am upgraded now.
