I can't figure out how to make the itunes on my PC to recognize and bring up "Ipad" in my device list?
The computer knows the ipad is connected. but it says "NOT CHARGING" on the ipad. I've tried rebooting the computer and ipad, didnt work.

And that is your problem. iPad was never designed to charge on a computer. Most USB ports do not put out enough power to charge an iPad, which is why your iPad came with an iPad specific 10W wall charger. To charge your iPad, use the wall charger.

It's supposed to say not charging. It's connected to the computer and iTunes sees it your good to go. Click on the iPad on the left side of iTunes. You can choose options of updating software to what you want synced. If its your first time go through the tabs slowly. Then hit sync at the bottom and it will do the rest.
You need iTunes. If you don't have it. Download it from apple site for free.
First time you download iTunes and put in your apple I'd and iPad. Some downloads of apps that are on your device will appear. The first time of doing this might take a bit so be patient. It will be approx 10sec there on out. But your pc will recognize the device and you can use it simply as storage, that's it. To update or add music, address from computer, or photos...you must have iTunes.
I reread your post sorry...it's not appearing on iTunes? Is it a newer version or iTunes?

Ha I misread the post at first. The support thing I found is what he's asking.
I did too. I thought he just wanted to charge his iPad via USB on his computer.......
In regards to the not charging issue, download a copy of ASUS AI Charger for your PC and it will enable your USB ports to charge the iPad. Find it free here: http://event.asus.com/mb/2010/ai_charger/

I don't see where you "click" on the left side - are you talking about the word "Ipad" to the far left opposite where it says "not charging" to the far right?
