Can anyone tell me what error 5599 signifies? I am getting it when I type in my apple ID and password.
Apple TV, Mac OS X (10.6.8)
Here is what I did:
1. Deauthorized my computer in iTunes.
2. Authorized my iTunes
3. Turned on file sharing.
4. Received error message 5599.
5. Kept clicking "Share" button as fast as I could.
6. After about 20 tries it finally just "worked".
I've Googled "error 5599" and received dozens of hits, mostly on Apple discussion boards. One even said they called Apple support and was told they'd never heard of this error. Does Apple ever have it's engineers check these discussion boards to head off frustration of its users?
What does error 5599 mean? I am getting that error when I enter my apple ID and password to turn on home sharing.
