Q: where to find a USB cable for backing up the TC to external NAS

Trying to back-up ny older 500Gb TC to an Iomega 1x2-200 Nas.  Both TC and NAS have USB (A) connection and finding a USB (A) to A cable has not been easy. Does it need to be configured as Null modem or straight thru?

Don't plug it directly into the TC at all .. use a powered hub.. the TC is way underpowered on the USB and has loads of issues even with powered devices.. using the hub you should not have any issues with a cable.

AFAIK A to A is still straight cable.. the devices sort themselves out but the hub will perhaps like a switch sort that out.
