I have a non-3G iPad which works fine with a wi fi service. I have recently bought a mobile 3G router (ie a router with a SIM card in it which picks up the ether), my Mac can see it but my iPAD cannot see it! Does anyone know what I have to do to make it see?

how are you connecting to it?
WiFi, Bluetooth?
If the latter, you may need to turn Bluetooth on.
Thanks for the suggestion, trying to connecting as wi fi which works on the Mac Book Pro, but not the iPAD, Bluetooth doesn't seem to work either
you might want to check the wifi settings on your iPad.
Tell it to forget the network then connect to it again.
It needs to be Auto DHCP so that router can automatically assign the correct IP Address
Also then reboot the router.
My iPad 2 cannot pick up 3g router
