MY ipod does not turn on and ive been trying to charge it and the screen just stays blank! HELP!!

Normally it takes at least 30 minutes before the iPod screen comes to life with the charging screen.
But other causes of failed charging
- Dead Battery - need to be re[placed
- bad USB cable - change another cable
- Using low power USB port - change to the USB 2.0 port at the back of the PC.
- Using 10W iPad charger - use a lower power wall charger with max 1Amp current.
