I need help with iCloud!

Hi guys,

So, lately I have been worrying about my iCloud account.

If I delete my iCloud account, will everything be lost (by everything I mean photos, contacts, and even my Apple ID)? Also, do I have to re-create a iCloud account or am I just fine without one? I don't exactly know much about Apple products, iTunes, and i definitely don't have a clue about iCloud!
