Have just moved and changed email, updated password, and when trying to update apps, message coming back "cannot connect to iTunes" - anyone?

All of a sudden after changing to gmail, updating/syncing iPad and attempting to update apps I am getting the message "Cannot connect to iTunes". Any suggestions, I just synced?

iPad, iOS 5.1.1
