Q: shuts off battery low message but battery is not low

The message"battery low ...." then it shuts off and comes back on 15 to 30 minutes later. It can play for 20 minutes to 45 or before this happens. I tried all the resetting steps and updating the software and charging but I still have the problem

iPod classic, Windows 7

It sounds like the iPod's battery is starting to die. It's not unusual for a battery that has been in constant use for two years or more. You can choose to have Apple replace the battery for a flat fee or you can send it to a third party service and have them do the same job for a little less.
