recover or remove backups
I was looking at my hard drive usage and have 40GB classifed as "backups" Where can I see what comprises this and remove. I don't think I would need. I think the backup maybe deleted files.
MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.4)

If you go to iTunes preferences, under devices you can delete old backups

The other suggestion will only remove iPhone, iPad and iPad backups, so be careful.
Good Luck

I will remove and backup my current devices. I feel I have some old devices still in backup that I either sold or swapped for other devices.
For TM I did have full external devices so snapshots maybe taking up some space. I have sinced moved to a new external for TM backups so snapshots should now be n/a
