Q: Please help.. Trying to set up this IPAD (which is supposed to be idiot proof) and can't even run setup... It's in chinese as soon as it powers on! No options to choose... So

Trying to set up this IPAD and can't. When I power it on, it's automatically in Chinese and I have no way to change it...Did a reset and same thing. HElp....

Unless someone who speaks Chinese chimes in, I'd recommend you take the iPad to your Apple Store Genius Bar and they can reset the language for you.

Apple says this http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2371 It shows pictures of an iphone, but i am wonder if they'd translate to an ipad

Thanks but unfortunately i have not even gotten this far... This was the first time I turned it on.. ever. I can't even get to this screen... But I can accidentally turn on voice over..... IN CHINESE! Sheesh...

Ok, when you slide to unlock what happesn? it should go to the first option to choose a language, watch this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bmN-LGNwAhM and see if it helps.

Go to the one with language selection then pick english and you should be set!
