iPad comes with Screen Protector?

hi,

i have been using an iPad2 for a couple of months now.

when I unboxed it, i removed the rubber cover which came with it. now I can see something else. Check this photo

it seems there is another protector over the screen. Can anyone tell me what it actually is and the use of it?

i've noticed that sometimes the screen is kinda sticky or not that smooth and my fingers don't slide over it smoothly. also, i have got a scratch on my ipad. can removing it solve the issue?

It is there to prevent the glass getting messy during manufacturing. It is not a screen protector for during use.. It is packaging. Removing it will not make the screen liable to damage. Such plastic film has been found on anything shiny bought for decades. The tip of your finger will not damage the naked glass.

If you leave it on it will ruin your touchscreen experience. Throw it away!

yup. iPad2 is my first ever Apple product even though now I own a Macbook Pro.

my brother also uses an iPad and he haven't taken that off. Same with my dad's iPhone.

are you sure that has to be removed? Isn't it there as a protector?

sorry for saying this but it costs something like $750 and i dont want to ddamage it so soon.
