New project need some help

Hallo all,

I'm reading Learn C on the mac and after passing the 200 pages I thought it was time to make some program by myself. One part of the program has be read some of in the input and had to react on that.

For example:

if the program ask for your name you, then you type your name and he react with opening a file/program.

The most important is that the program can read the word/letter/words what I write.
