How do i make app purchase using my credit card in Nigeria

With the inclusion of Nigeria in the apple store, I was wondering how I could buy apps for my iPad using the credit card provided by the Nigerian bank.

Does anybody has any idea?

iPad, iOS 5.1.1, Nigerian billing address.

Pls when is apple going to start charging their customers in nigeria in nigerian currency (naira)

They are, that appears to be why people in Nigeria have been posting about problems recently, your banking system doesn't seem to like doing business in their own currency

Since the Nigerian iTunes Store was changed to use the Nigerian currency instead of US dollars there have been a number of posts on here from people saying that their cards are now being declined - some of those people have said that it's because the banks can no longer charge exchange rate fees in order to get money out of people.

You can no longer use your Naira MasterCard on Apple because most Nigerian banks have disabled Dynamic Currency Conversion, DCC. You will keep getting that error message until you either change your payment information to a dollar credit card or Apple goes back to the dollar payment system. You could also use a gift card to make purchases and subscriptions, then you would have to select NONE as payment method.

I'm not sure where your difficulty lies. Assuming that the card is one accepted by the iTunes Store, you should be able to just set up an iTunes Store account, enter in your credit card when requested, and proceed. Have you tried this and encountered a problem, and if so what problem?

Thank you for the response. The issue is this: I have a MasterCard linked to my account here in Nigeria . This is the card I used when setting up my apple ID. I tried purchasing an app and it said something like "there is a billing problem with your previous purchase. Please update your card"

I am a bit confused about this

Make sure that the address in your iTunes Store account matches the address as shown on your credit card statement exactly. And of course confirm that your card is still valid; confirm the expiration date listed in the iTunes Store, for instance.

If you continue to have problems, go here:

and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store.

Regards.
