My phone hasnt had any service for the last hour or so, it just says 'no service' and i usually have service where i am now. It keeps searching for the network but then goes straight to no service again, What could be wrong? please help!!

First thing to try is a simple reset, by holding down both the home and lock buttons until the apple logo shows up, about 10 seconds.
didnt make a difference, what else could i try?
Contact your phone carrier
It may be a local outage. Or your account may not be paid up.
