Text I didn't write?!?!

Last night I recieved a text from my daughter "Hi" as I look at the conversation there is a text from me (Right side of screen) that says "Hi this is Madrid" I did NOT write that text!! As I am looking at the screen a text pops up on the right side of the screen as though I wrote it "Wats up" I did NOT write that text either! BUT I watched it pop us as though I did & my daughter got it & responded "Nm" "U" 2 texts one after the other, after I talked w her later she stated on her side the texts stated they were from me & she assumed she was talking to me! After my daughter wrote those 2 messages again a message popped up on the right side as though I had wrote it "No" again I did NOT!! So I texted "Who is Madrid?" which pops up on the right side under the other text messages I had NOT written! Immediately another text pops up on the right side directly below my question "I don't know" as though I had written it! The craziest part is the messaging was not to my daughters phone # but to her email address on her Ipod app that allows her to text me when she doesn't have phone service. BUT the even CRAZIER thing is my husband got the entire conve on his phone as a convo between him & I. This was NOT a group message! None of us had been texting the other this just started randomly with my daughter recieving a text from me!! Has anyone ever heard of this?!!? I'm freaked out! I called At&t and they wouldn't help me! They stated it was a Spoof website! But all the websites I've looked into don't do what happened with my phone! They stated that it's KNOWN that some times texts can be recieved by all iphone with the same appleID, but in the 4 years I've had my iphone this has NEVER happened! PLEASE anyone!! I'm worried about my private information!!

This happened to me LAST NIGHT! I go to sleep around 9 p.m. every night. Last night I fell asleep at 8:45 ish. A friend called at 9:50 p.m. I never heard the phone ring nor knew they called as it was in the other room and I was fast asleep. I scrolled through my texts and "I" apparently text my friend at 9:51 p.m "cant talk now.....ill call you later". I NEVER text that but my phone shows I did! I went through my morning thinking the CRAZIEST thoughts about me sleep walking, paranormal crap etc....What the heck is this all about?? I'm so glad I googled this and this came up becuase I'm not crazy. But now I'm annoyed and not happy with Verizon or Apple right now. This should NOT happen and could potentially cause a lot of damage. Imagine explaining to your boss or some one else that you didn't write a certain text. The text sent could have been worse or contained profanity. I need to know how this happened ASAP!!!!!!!!!

I look to see if they left a message only to discover a text reply saying "cant talk now.....ill call you later" was sent TO this number FROM MY PHONE.....that I DIDNT WRITE! Now i know the iphone have this text a reply feature but MINE IS DISSABLED! Ive never ever used it! Come to find out, the number was sprint...which is my cell carrier. I have no idea how this happened and im frustrated to say the least! Does anyone have any ideas as to how this happened?!

Im sorry to say i still dont have a clue how this happend. If you go into your options, phone, then reply with message you'll see the exact same phrase "cant talk now...i'll call you later" along with 2 more pre installed messages that apple came up with. So im certain thats where it came from but i didnt enable this feature. I assumed my voicemail would pick it up. Crazy! Eric if you find out anything i would be gratful if you post your findings here and i'll do the same. On the bright side......at least were not crazy : )

I have just found a text at 4.30 from me to my husband saying "Can't talk right now....I'll call you later" - I didn't write it. My husband is wondering whether I meant to send it to someone else, while we were out together today!! - AND I didn't even write it. I am so glad you have all posted this.

How has this been done? It's worrying that someone can make it look like I have sent a text

The same thing just happened to me too, I texted a friend sat phone down and walked away for a second. My baby was crying during this time. When I picked my phone back up there was a text message there that looked like I had typed it to my friend that said "hello hello all content baby". Woa wth? I didn't type that and I'm completely spooked. I found this discussion but everyone else had texts that could of been from the auto replies. This is definitely not one. Can anyone please explain any reason for this happening? I need some reassurance that I dońt need to get a ghost hunter. Thanks

This has also happened to me. "Can't talk right now...I'm on my way." Sent to my dad so he called a bit worried because I was late arriving home. But it is a scary thought that someone else could of sent a message looking like it was from me.

As I noted above, that sounds very much like you hit the "Reply with message" button while attempting to answer the phone.

So glad I Google it ... Last night three texts appear on my side like I sent it to my friend, i'm not crazy and of course nobody would believe me , first of all it happens in the short time after we spoke and I remember exactly my last text which was a picture on my TV screen , after that I was watching the TV I look at my phone I wrote three messages!!!!( " OK stop being so nice you putting yourself in danger of my mom start liking you " then "I didn't meant to send that //////:::::" never in my life I use those lines and dots ever he didn't understand and joking back said it's OK baby if it was text to someone else.... I immediately call and said I haven't wrote that...and of course he didn't believe me ... Messages did make sense in the whole conversation .... But not to me !!!!!!!! I would never write something about my mom liking him or dislike... it just would never appear in my mind !!!!!!! I found this line rude and disrespectful (((((( it makes no sense .... All of it makes no sense ((( I fear for my privacy and consequences that already exist... I love this person and I would never send this line " mom will start liking you" it's nonsense!!! it doesn't fit in the reality of our friendships ... I'm scared !! Message could have been much worse ... Like threat or insult ((((... It also happens once before I didn't Pay attention to it it happens overnight so I thought maybe I forgot and slept over it, again message was feeding into conversation but slightly off to me, like I wouldn't wrote that ... I called Verizon officer on The line said he heard of this before, he recommend me go to security account on my Verizon and fill in the form ... Think going to their office also

I have an Iphone 6s with Sprint and the other night I woke up and a friend had sent me a text and in the reply box was a really bad horrible name that I would never call anyone. Thank goodness it didn't send. I would have felt horrible. I thought I may have just typed a letter and it did the auto correct. Siri is disabled on my phone as well as the voice prompts. The next day I was meeting up with some friends and we had been texting back and forth and I laid the phone down in the seat and it sent him a text with the word dude. I never use that word either and now I'm freaking out thinking I have a virus on it.
