The easiest way that I know of is to download the shell script for installation from the Oracle website here

Thanks justin160 but the problem is I could only see the one for unix and windows... no option to download for mac... I've surfed the web looking for this but I've got nothing yet
Thanks baltwo... The update is just for Java SE. I need the Java EE SDK to enable me move on with my studies on java from Core Java (SE) to Advanced Java (EE). Thanks for your time. I really need help with this.
Then, start with a google search for java se sdk site:apple.com and peruse the results. AFAICT, the 1.6 SDK is woefully dated. Good luck.

@Justin... please, I have been to that link and found unix and windows, no mac... Please how can i install the shell script you are talking about? Thank you for your reply
For the most part, Java EE is just a spec describing interfaces that should be implemented by Java EE compliant servers.
What Java EE application server are you using? Example: GlassFish, JBoss, WebSphere, WebLogic. You should be able to find installation instructions that would include the SDK and probably plug-ins for IDE's (Eclipse, NetBeans).

I have a GlassFish Server in my NetBeans already. Do I need to do any other settings? Or I'm I just good to go?
Thanks in advance
