Double clicking a word/sentence/paragraph

I have a Macbook Pro and I want to click on my trackpad twice to highlight a word and three times to highlight the paragraph or sentence that word is in. I can do this with tapping the trackpad but I want to do the same with actually pushing/clicking the trackpad. Can anyone tell me where in my settings to change this?

HERE's WHAT WORKED FOR ME:

Plug in a USB mouse, Open SYSTEM PREFERENCES. Click MOUSE. (instead of Trackpad) Change CLICK SPEED to a slower value. (The halfway point worked well for me. This setting is not enabled when the mouse is not plugged in.) Now, close PREFERENCES, and unplug the USB mouse.

The slower click speed should work on your trackpad too!
