My ipod has been frozen in shut down, I finally located it through itunes on my pc and was in the process of a restore (i understand everything will be wiped out, I've backed up). Now it is saying "Could not be restored the device cannot be found"

That doesn't do the trick. It won't let you restore because the device cannot be found. So it will go through the whole and then when it tries to restore, itunes can't find a device to restore. Frustrating.
- Try a reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reboot the computer
- Try another cable
-Try another USB port.
- Try another computer to help determine if you have an iPod or computer problem.
