access exchange mailbox you have permissions to

From the mail application (predominantly iPad) it is possible to connect to my exchange mailbox, works like a dream, what I would like to do is also connect to a second mailbox on same exchange server that I do have permissions too. Is this possible, if so how?

iPad, iOS 5.1.1

If this is a separate Exchange account, just add the new account through the Mail, Contacts Calendars settings just as you did the original account. If this is a shared mailbox, with the account belonging to someone else, iOS devices do not support connecting to shared mailboxes (unless someone has found a workaround I've not heard of).

Regards.

You can probably use IMAP to connect to the shared account.

You need the username that belongs to shared mailbox.

If your usename is john, and the username jim has delegated access to his mailbox to you (and the domain name is corp) your login should look like this:

Username: corp/john/jim

Password: <your password>

This works for me in iOS and Snow Leopard, but sadly not in Lion/Mountain Lion.
