New to Apple TV.
For some reason I can never get a full picture on my 46" Sony Bravia.
Unless of course I change the Sony remote to Zoom. Where I loose some picture.
I coverted to MP4 using Bravia HDTV, Apple TV 3. Still the same cut off picture.
Any ideas from anyone.

What exactly is it you are watching.
Movies from downloaded to iTunes. Converted to MP4 and iTunes.
Netflix seems to be OK.
Are you sure you aren't watching movies presented in panoramic aspect ratios.
I'm sure I'm getting them in 16:9 aspect ratio.
Although you could be right on with the Panoramic Aspect.
How can I tell if they are Panoramic?
You should be able to tell from looking up the resolution in 'Get Info' in iTunes on your computer.

Most are not 16:9
Samples - 1280 X 544
1280 X688
1280 X 720 (good) 16:9
Is there a way to change the others, that are not 16:9 ????

Unfortunately, there is no way to change it. it appears many people like it this way, it reminds them of being in the cinema or something, I like you don't like it.
Of note though, if you use the zoom features on your TV, you probably won't miss too much. When the movies are produced they have in mind they will likely be on TV one day and most of the action is in the safe area that will be seen when shown to fill a TV screen.

I have been using the Zoom and Wide Zoom from time to time.
