Q: My 2008 MacBook Pro crashed (powers up, but no display). Does not respond to reset....

My MacBook Pro is dead (won't boot up). One repair tech (not Apple) told me I had a bad motherboard Took it to an Apple Store and the guy did a quick reset. It worked for 2 week and has now died again, not responding to reset attempts by me. Help??

Try Resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM

If that doesn't help, try Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)
