Restore from iCloud but no videos/photos

Hi all,

I have now restored my phone and tried to restore it from a old back up on iCloud. My iCloud storage was so full of photos and videos that I tried to sync with itunes and that is where the trouble started. I ended up restoring with the assumption that my videos and photos would be restored too as they were automatically backed up until I started receiving the too full messages. Now, all my apps have restored beautifully but NONE of my photos or videos. Why did this happen? Any suggestions on how to get the iCloud backup to give me back my videos?
