I want to purchase DLC that is available as an in-app purchase for Civilization V. I have a ton of money in gift cards on the Mac App store. Would this money be used to buy the DLC, or would it be charged to the credit card?

In-App purchases require that you have a debit or credit card on file. The subscriptions cannot be charged against the balance of redeemed cards.

Sorry, so do one-time in-app purchases (not subscriptions) also get charged to the credit card and cannot be purchased with redeemed app store gift cards?
