Photos seem to dissapear after iphoto 9.3 update

I updated my iphoto 9.3 again last night, and it seems to make photos dissapear or be rearranged. When I go to faces a lot of them are black boxes, but the names are still there. I tried this update once before and it really messed up my photos, so i did a restore from a time machine back up. But with mountain lion coming out I know its usually best to have everything updated. Is it a problem with my photos, with 9.3 iphoto, or how do i get the faces back under faces and such?
