RAM Upgrade

Does anyone know which CAS latency and voltages are compatible with mid 2012 Mac Book Pro?

MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2012), Mac OS X (10.7.4)

RAM upgrades for the mid-2012 MBP 2.6GHz: OWC shows RAM with CL=9 and Crucial shows it as CL=11. Which is correct?

Both are correct. CL-11 are the ones you need but going with CL-9 from OWC would work too since OWC is a large MAC reseller - I would however, go with Clinton on this one since I too use Crucial. 2 nanosecond is not really noticeable.

thanks for the quick responses at this hour. I did more research on CL so for those stumbling onto this discussion in the future, according to Crucial's website, lower is faster:

"CL — CAS (column address strobe) latency, which is the number of clock cycles it takes before data starts to flow after a command is received. Lower CL is faster. Modules with different CL can be mixed on a system, but the system will only run at the highest (slowest) CL."

The 2 extra 'clock cycles' doesn't sound like much, but I'm using this MBP for video editing. I have projects that sometimes now take 4 hours to render, so I'm looking to squeeze as much as I can out of it so I'll probably go with the OWC with 18% less CAS Latency. Not sure what that translates to in actual time, but a less CAS Latent life sounds good to me.

Crucial is the more reputable brand (I use a Crucial SSD without problems). Both have a lifetime warranty - OWC offers advance replacement, not sure about Crucial. Crucial charges tax in CA so the total price is almost 20% higher than OWC.
