Mac Battery Issue!!!!

For a few weeks I've been having issues charging my computer. First I had to adjust the magsafe so the orange light would go on...of course after a while that only made it worse and ended up buying a new charger.

THEN after i bought the new charger everythign seemed to work fine but then once again the light on the magsafe wouldnt go on (it was green first and then the light slowly went off) so I took my macpro to the apple care center... and now they've just emailed me saying that i need to buy a baterry and a new board logic 2.40 GHZ for around $800!!!!!!!!! and I dont know what to do!! I cant pay that much???? and I have the feeling the problem has nothing to do with the board logic......

any ideas???

ps: I dont have warrancy given that my macpro has 1 year and a few months....

A new battery and logic board for a Mac you've had for just over a year does sound unusual.

Try Resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM

If that doesn't help, try Resetting the System Management Controller

If possible, try to locate another Apple certified repair provider to get a second opinion.

I don't know why but although Im completly ignornant of computers I know their diagnosis doesn't make sense...and it comes off as if they didn't know what they were doing... At First they gave me a diagnosis which never said anything about trying the computer with a good battery and my own logic board...so this guy called the people on the workshop and then he typed these other things onto the diagnosis just to make me shut up....

This is so fustraiting.....but if this doesn't work I'll see if I can find another place 🙂 Thank you so MUUCHHH!!!
