When I click in Itunes on my apple TV device I see only 2 tabs such as settings and photos. Then when I click on photos it allows me only share from option not sync. Who can tell me why is that?

You're probably configured for streaming/sharing only.
Have you changed computer and added a new iTunes 'connection' to the AppleTV?
To sync the AppleTV1 the iTunes library needs to be the top one listed in Settings>Computers - any below the top of the list are sharing/streaming.

If you right click o teh AppleTV device in iTunes it probbaly also has an option 'Turn Off Sharing' not 'Turn Off syncing' which will reflect which kind of 'pairing' is active for that itunes ibrary.
