I have upgraded to the Messages Beta but have just learned my MacPro 2,1 will not be able to run Mountain Lion. Will the Messages Beta still run on my Mac after Mountain Lion is released? I assume Messages will no longer be a Beta product.

It will expire. To use iChat, uninstall Messages or you could lose it
