How to get my function buttons working in BOOTCAMP again?

For more than a year my Windows BOOTCAMP the function buttons to brighten/dim the screen, brighten/dim the buttons, turn up/down the volume, etc....worked just fine. Now the buttons merely act as the standar functions in Windows and do not act as they use to. How do I fix this issue?
