Frozen App!
Help!
How do I get rid of an app that is open but doesn't respond to any commands i.e. won't close down or be put into trash? App listed as "Preview".

How do I get rid of an app that is open but doesn't respond to any commands i.e. won't close down or be put into trash? App listed as "Preview".

You don't want to put Preview in the trash it's part of the System. To close it down you can force quit it on the menubar. > Force quit.. > choose preview.

cmd > alt (option) > preview > enter
Here is the Apple article on it - you can use keyboard commands which may be handy if it's frozen to the point that your pointer or the File menu are not responding or accessible:
