Jul 12, 2012 7:05 AM in response to lab7891by planb77,Are you sure the Shuffle is properly connected as seen in this article?
iPod shuffle (4th generation): Not seen in iTunes
Have you tried plugging the Shuffle into another USB port, preferbaly a high powered USB 2.0 port on that back of your PC? Do you have any other USB devices connected at all when you connect the Shuffle?
Try resetting the Shuffle using the appropriate instructions in this Apple support document.
If possible, try plugging the Shuffle into a different PC or Mac that is running iTunes to see if it is properly recognized there.B-rock

Jul 12, 2012 7:58 AM in response to lab7891by planb77,★HelpfulDo you have another cable around you can try and use to charge the Shuffle as the current one may be damaged or faulty.
How long do you leave it to charge? Sometimes it can take up to 30 minutes for the iPod to show any signs of life.
Since the iPod is only 4 months old, it should still be covered under Apple's 1 year warranty against manufacturing defects. In that case, I would recommend scheduling an appointment at your local Apple Store/Genius Bar to have them take a look at it and swap it out at no cost if necessary.

Well thanks for the advice anyway and yeah i will do that.
