Printing issue on HP deskjet 960c

I've come across a problem trying to print using my 960c printer. The driver is installed, and the Printer Setup Utility shows the printer by name.
When using the HP Inkjet Toolbox, documents (the diagnositics, and test pages) print without issue, but when any regular document is sent to print, all that comes out is a blank page. If the document has a table then the outline will print. Nothing else.
I've tried the built in driver and also the HP driver from their website. Has anyone else come across a similar driver issue? It can't be a total loss; the Inkjet Toolbox still does print correctly. Any ideas to try?

Believe it or not you might need to reinstall.

The HP drivers that were installed on my MacBook were the PowerPC version (as opposed to the Intel version) and I had problems. The issue was solved by re-installing the OS which in turn re-installed the print drivers.

I would try any other advice first, though. A reinstall is a pretty major solution to what could be a minor problem.
