Nano 2GB my mom never used it and when I restore and follow clean up suggestions Nano keeps freezing on language selection. I am able to plug to my mac and sync music just can't seem to use any of the Nano wheel functions. Never been used nothing spilled on wheel device not set on hold. Any suggestions

Just to be certain, have you double checked to make sure the hold switch located on the top of the Nano has in the active/On position?
If none of the 5 R's are able to resolve the issue, it's likely a hardware issue, meaning you'll need to have the iPod serviced/replaced either by Apple or a third party service.

Yes i followed those steps as well for some reason the wheel doesn't work and can't make selections. If i move the hold back or forth the screen lights up and lock appears on screen just can't seem to make selections with the feel.
Again, that's a pretty good indication of a hardware problem, most likely with the iPod's clickwheel. Time to have the iPod serviced or replaced.
