Wifi icon keep searching

I just got the new MB Pro Retina with OS X Lion. I've set it up with a wireless network already. However, the wireless icon appears as if it keeps searching, even though it's already connected to the network and able to to reach the Internet. Does anyone know what might be causing this and how I can fix it? Thanks.

MacBook Pro with Retina display, Mac OS X (10.7.4)

It will search if you click on it. If you don't click on it, it won't search.

No, it appears to search even if I don't click on it (the little bar animation).

Update: It was busy authenticating (which is weird because the connection still worked). I disconnected and reconnected and the animation went away.
