iphoto not responding

I'm currently running iPhoto version 9.3, and it has been running fine. Unfortunately today when I attempted to launch the application, the icon bounced twice in the dock and then stop responding. No error message was displayed and no window opened. I there anyone whos has a solution to this problem?
