Download gets stuck at same percentage repeatedly.

After purchasing an app from the app store, an error occurred during it's download. The App store didn't specify what the error was just "an error has occurred". The resume download option doesn't work, as the download just remains stuck at the same spot. When I try to cancel the download and restart it fresh, the download has the same thing happen again at the exact same point. What gives?

Check the Requirements for the app under Information right side of the App Store window.

If you have anti virus software installed, disable that then try downloaind an app.

Turn off the Firewall in System Preferences > Security - Firewall

Third party download managers or apps such as Little Snitch can prevent apps from downloading.

Installing the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo reinstalls the App Store for you and that may help.

Restart your Mac after the combo is installed. It's ok to do this even though you are already running v10.6.8.
