The iPhone does not store any data on the SIM and can not read photos stored on a SIM.

Then how do i down load pictures via icloud or what. I just got my macbook pro

Are you sure you mean a SIM card? Photos are usually stored on SD memory cards, not SIM cards. If that's what you actually have, the Camera Connection Kit should do what you want.
