Server giving me "Error Reading Settings" message for web service

Recently, and seemingly spontaneously, Lion Server started giving me a message indicating that it failed to read the settings for its web service. After a bit of Googling, I found that running

sudo serveradmin command web:command=restoreFactorySettings

shoud restore the settings to default, but Terminal gives me this:

xswebconfig failed: Exception:
No such file or directory - /etc/apache2/httpd.conf.default
web = _empty_dictionary

Lastly, I tried deleting it and re-downloading Server from the App Store; only to get the exact same result, even after attempting a second Terminal restore.

Any advice?
