My Airport extreme cannot de detected by airport utility and cannot find my attached HDD

Hi All

I currently have an airport extreme. For a while now i havn't been able to connect to my airport extreme and attached HDD.

Everything else seems to work fine, the green light is on the front of the device indicating that i have an internet connection, i am getting access to the internet on all my wireless devices but i just cannot access the HDD and Airport Utility will not see the extreme.

The software also checks for updates to firmware etc but still cannot connect to the device.
