can you transfer music from a UK iTunes account to a US iTunes account?

My understanding from the post is the music is already on the computer, it isn't a question of making purchases.

lindy1987: It would help to have more background on this because there are too many combinations Did you set up two separate iTunes accounts? Note, by "account" I mean what you sign in to buy music, not what is on your computer which is a user account. You cannot transfer items between accounts no matter what country, but if the music is on a computer you should be able to move it between computer accounts. Or is this all music bought under one account while it was associated with the store in two countries at different times? Or is this music in two different computer accounts with music purchased from one country in one and another country in the other? And was this under the same AppleID or two different ones?

There is no such thing as a "US iTunes account" or a "UK iTunes account."

Each account is currently set to a certain country. If you want to change it, go to the home page of the Store and click on "Change Country."

You can browse in any country's iTunes Store. But if you want to make purchases, pls read Ana's mail.
