I am getting a new computer. Is there any way to download my library? I am having trouble backing my library up so i would like to just download it

Quick answer if you use iTunes' default preferences settings: Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its subfolders and files) intact to the other drive. Start iTunes with the option (shift on Windows) key held down and guide it to the new location of the library.

My suggested process:

1. Backup the library with this User Tip.
2. Restore the backup to your new computer using the same tool used to back it up.
3. Deauthorize the old computer if you no longer want to access protected content on it.
4. Keep your backup up-to-date in future.
